Pablo is also responsible of the coordination and implementation of MBAN’s activities in EU funded projects. Being the first contact point of the Association, he is also looking after members’ interests and helping ensure they obtain best value from their membership. Prior to joining the organisation, he developed a successful finance career for international companies in Ireland, Spain and United Kingdom. With a solid background in banking and administration and a determined entrepreneurial character, Pablo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing Management by New Buckinghamshire University, United Kingdom, and a Master in Sport’s Management by the University of Southern Denmark.

Amer Al Omari

Amer is a serial entrepreneur who has founded several successful online websites like weziwezi.com, blarabi.com and PayFellow.com.
Amer has 10 years professional experience in mobile, internet and financial industries; working across the entire spectrum of mobile and web leading portals, entertainment services, digital content products and services and telecom and financial solutions.
Previously Amer worked with leading VAS companies in Jordan and KSA, he held the position of Business Development Manager at Elite Informational & System Technology establishing business partnerships with mobile telecom operators, mobile handset manufacturers, digital content owners and media advertising companies across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Prior to Elite he was a Business Development Manager at MASAR Wallet; previously he worked at cashU as Technical Team Leader.

Radi supports weziwezi.com with business development support. In his role he is supporting the CEO in company development, business planning, marketing and sales strategy development. Additionally, Radi is Vice President Business Development at MENA Apps. He is responsible for the technical and financial due-diligence of the early stage investments for MENA Apps. Additionally. he mentors entrepreneurs on business development, marketing, sales, organization development and leadership as well as supporting entrepreneurs with access to companies and investors. Radi also manages the partnerships development with regional and international incubators, accelerators, mentor, angel networks and VCs.
Radi has 15 years experience in the international Telecommunications industry where he held various positions in the field of Product Development, Network Architectures, Network and Business Strategy, Marketing & Business Development.
Before joining MENA Apps, Radi worked with major telecom operators like Zain Jordan and Paltel Group. At Zain, he held the positions of Business Marketing Director and Data Strategy Director, where he supported Zain’s CEO to transform Zain from a mobile only to integrated operator. In this role he was responsible to develop and market Zain’s products and services, like connectivity, managed security and cloud computing, that serve the Business and Government sectors. He managed to position Zain as true integrated operator serving Jordan’s biggest enterprises in less than a year.
At Palestinian Telecom Group, Radi held the position of Marketing Director for both Paltel Group as well as Paltel’s fixed line operations. Outside the Middle East, Radi has held various Product management and Business Development roles at AT&T and Lucent Technologies Europe Middle East and Africa. During his career he was involved in numerous projects where he advised and implemented next generation services transformation strategies for major operators.
Radi has a MSc. in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
Social Media Trainee
As a social media trainee, Julie looks after the community management of MBAN. She publishes news about early stage investment through social channels and the website.
Julie is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Business Administration at EDHEC Nice, France. She begins this internship after a 6-month ERASMUS program at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, Germany. Thanks to this education, Julie had the opportunity to work for two start-ups. She got an overview of the SME’s world and realized the role of Business Angels’ investment in a company’s success. Julie is decided to pursue a Master in Entrepreneurship after her graduation.

With over 5 years of experience in Telecommunications and an additional 7 years in management and engineering fields, Eng. Amjad is the Co-founder , Board Member and the COO of the 2nd largest internet service provider in Palestine . Amjad founded the company in mid-2010 along with three of his colleagues with ambition to aggregate their experience and deliver exceptional consumer service , and hence Mada was the success tempting the thrown of service excellency. Amjad is responsible for the operations in Mada. He is managing the call center, technical support and quality assurance in addition to the public relations.
Prior to his current roles, Amjad was the Risk Management Director of Paltel Group, during his assignment he established the risk management department that was responsible on revenue assurance, anti-fraud and risk assessment for Paltel Group. Prior to moving to Paltel Group he established the Revenue Assurance department in Paltel and before that he was the commercial manager in Ramallah District.
Before moving to Paltel Amjad has worked 5 years at the YMCA in youth development programmers. The experience he gain working with the Palestinian NGO sector enabled him to submit his MBA thesis on “Monitoring & Evaluation at the Palestinian NGOs Sector”.
Working with Palestinian youth on various developments and vocational training projects enabled Amjad to develop a holistic vision on youth development initiatives. Amjad served for 3 years as vice president of “Hilal Al Quds Club” the Palestinian football league Champaign. Amjadalso volunteered in several vocational and entrepreneurship initiatives in Palestine.
Amjad has an MBA from Birzeit University in Palestine and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology in Irbid/Jordan.

Matthias Treutwein is co-founder of the non-for-profit organisation enpact. Before starting his own social enterprise, he worked for several years as a trainer, consultant and project manager in the fields of international development (Transparency International, The Owners Forum, InWent) as well as in cultural management (Goethe Institute, Bosch-Foundation). Matthias holds an M.A In Arabic, French and Spanish. He has a high level of cultural awareness, is very interested in fostering networks and strongly believes in horizontal and life-long learning.
